The customer service representative was helpful and knowledgeable. The prop was shipped right away and I received it quickly. The installation was straight-forward and went perfectly. That doesn't happen very often. Thanks iBOATS!

I've been struggling to get my '06 Bass Tracker pro team 170 TX moving with a 9.9 merc 4 stroke (10hp limit lake) I've been through several props, 4 blade 5 pitch, 4 blade 6 pitch, 3 blade 7 pitch, 3 blade 8 pitch, but this mercury prop in 3 blade 6.5 pitch has got the heavy boat moving the fastest so far.

It will fit if you have the thrust holder. If you just have a bare prop shaft you will need to get a thrust holder from a dealer.

This prop 5113-100-05 does not fit 9.9 Mercury Bigfoot 2012. Close, very close, spline is correct but insert is too short so tightening the bolt jams the prop housing up against the two small bolts. Something that isn't obvious without carefully comparing the units before greasing and installing. It does look shiney.

Love the new prop after one outing. Cured aeration issues experienced with other prop while riding out the wake of traffic. Pushed the boat smartly against a heavy outgoing tide on the way back. Added a lot of grab in reverse at the dock without aerating. We had a heavy crosswind (N20kt) at the ramp when you need to come in a little faster than you'd like and it was great to have the prop grab instead of jumping on the dock with lines and a pucker while the prop aerates on the exhaust instead of stopping the boat.

I order this prop for a 1980 15hp Johnson. It fit but me being a newbie wanting more giddy up go didn't work. It was way off on the pitch and that was my mistake. Had to go to local and get the 9 1/2x 10 that I should have got to start with. Now $78 in the hole then a week later these go on sale for $48.

Needed the prop for a trip to Canada, the prop allowed us to reduce the Trolling speed down to a crawl on our Yamaha F20 and we had the prop delivered next day from iboats, no other stores we tried even had the prop in stock. Thanks iboats. RMJ Maplewood, MN

Price was good. Local shop actually quoted me list price! ($119). They said "it's higher because of the extra blade". I said OOO-kay. Seeya. I received my propeller quickly and it worked great. The description was accurate. Fit my 8 spline 2-stroke 1994 Mercury 9.9. Available charts helped too. Only downside: no instructions. I imagine none of them come with instructions but I wasn't sure if I should use the extra brass piece and I noticed my old propellers were on a bit loose so I did this one that way too. Sometimes tightening is taboo. I hope that's the case with this motor/prop.

TWICE, a 3 blade prop came in a 4 blade box. Now, weeks after my initial order, I'm waiting for an "RA" to return it (again), but will "get a full refund as the item is now out of stock". So all I've got is wasted time. Thanks.

I recently replaced a stock Honda 8 HP high Thrust 10x6.5 prop on my sailboat with a Solas 10"x5" after calculating the required propeller to reach optimum RPM range. The actual RPM increase was a little lower than expected because the slippage was reduced by the larger blade area. The Hub is slightly larger than the stock propeller. I also purchased the recommended thrust washer, installed it, but the clearance from the hub to machine screws on the engine were closer than I felt comfortable with so I chose to use the existing thrust washer. The propeller preformed as intended, easily pushing the boat at hull speed 5.2 Knots with excellent reverse thrust for docking situations. Would have rated it at 5 stars if the hub matched the stock propeller.

Equipment - 14' displacement hull duck boat with a 2011 Mercury 15hp 4-stroke outboard. I ordered this prop looking to improve the performance of my outboard pushing a heavy displacement hull 14' duck boat. While it got the Engine rpm's to come up about 400rpm, this prop was terrible. The engine was louder, it vibrated more, lost about 4mph on top end speed and it left a gap between the back of the prop and the lower unit hub. So when I was running down along the salt marsh, I would get grass wrapped around the propeller hub. Never had this problem with the factory prop. And aside from these issues, the aluminum on this prop is very weak. 2 trips out on the bay and the blade looked like it was ran over rocks, yet I never encountered anything that should have chewed it up that bad. I just put the factory prop back on and the boat feels like it has new life again. Don't like this Amita prop at all.

While, your not going anywhere fast, this prop will push quite alot at 6 mph. I pulled my 45' houseboat across the bay at 4 mph. My houseboat had easily 3"s of growth on the bottom. The rpm seems unaffected by the loads, making it good on gas. I can definatly see this prop used in marinas on push/pull situations. (A kicker as well)

This prop is on my Evinrude 9.9 kicker motor mounted on my 17ft. Smoker Craft Pro Angler. I use my fishing boat mainly on a river with a medium speed current. The prop works great! Both forward and reverse, it moves the boat through the current with having to adjust the throttle to my desired trolling speed based on the current speed. Do not expect this prop to give you high speed, this prop is designed for torque and low speed, perfect for my set up. I have not yet used it in a lake , however I expect that it will just be less throttle movement once I am at the desired trolling speed.
