Switch to the from a 3 blade 21 pitch to this 4 blade 19 pitch. 2012 stingray 208lr 4.3 mercruiser sterndrive. Hole shot and thrust is much better and much better handling but did cost me some top end speed and lose of some rpms. I should have stuck with 21 pitch but still happy with prop so far.

After breaking a three blade stainless prop I went with this one to try it out .I couldn't be happier . Handling improved dramatically , boost planes ot quicker and I actually gained 3 mph top end instead of losing power

Prop works very good. The pontoon boat had a 3 blade, that was pretty beat up, and wow what a difference! Can really tell the difference when you punch the throttle. And it comes with the hub kit and thrust washers. A way better deal than anything I found out there. When I decide to buy a stainless, this will be where I go to order it.

Prop was sent and received in a very timely manner. Box was wrapped in black plastic to keep it concealed. Everything was provided as described except for the tools of course. Prop looked very new and fitted perfectly. Performance is very strong. Had a three prop before and with this four prop it seems I have more power and speed performance. Thank You, iBoats

My 3 blade prop was ventilating. The 4 blade cured that plus it steers better, trims better and is way smoother. Can't wait to try a 4 blade stainless!

Bought a used boat with a Merc 3.0 alpha one. Was looking for a little more out of the hole performance. I got the four blade 17 pitch and it was like night and day. I am having a great time with my boat now. I would recommend this prop any day. As a note, the prop that was on the boat when i got it was a 21 pitch. Way too big for my boat. With this new prop i run at 4700 rpm and top end is a nice 38 mph according to my gauges. Finding and ordering through iboats.com was a breeze. I have since ordered several other products from them.

In all fairness this engine isn't strong enough for this boat. I am having trouble planing with 5 adults on board (USCG=capacity 10) thought I would try a 4 blade not enough improvement to switch. Tried boat with two and the engine over revved (6K +), I'm going back to a three blade.

I have a stern drive and got this to help with lower end control and faster planing. Helped with both. This combined with the Nautics trim tabs help me get on plane almost instantly and I have better control at lower speeds with no bow drift left and right. I lost a couple mph on the top end. Worth it.

My boat planes off faster , seems to run as fast top end, and certainly handles better at docking speed than it did with the 19 pitch three blade prop that was on it when I bought it.

I have a 21' bowrider with a 4.3 225 VP. It came with a 19p 3 blade which was fine for a light load on smooth water. This 17p 4 blade gives me the low end I need to pull a wakeboarder with a full boat. Also nice for quick throttle response while navigating rough water on the busy holiday weekends. Rubex hub s SMS to add a bit of cushion when shifting. Dropped my top end by about 5 mph but worth it when it need it. Easy enough to swap around depending on conditions.

This prop is awesome gets the boat on plain faster. I didn't lose any top end speed. Not that that matters. The boat curses at about 25 mph most of the time. No issues with the install very easy!!! Would buy again!

First time using a 4 blade prop. After reading many reviews I bought this prop and put it on a 1988 Sea Ray 21 ft. CC with a 4.3 liter power plant. Slight vibration at rev up, but the boat came up on plane quickly and steering was more responsive compared to the original factory spec 3 blade prop. The new hub adapter is also very interesting and appeared to be well made. Both the adapter and prop fit very nicely onto the out drive. Installation took about 20 minutes to swap out the old for the new.

With a larger boat and no trim tabs this prop was a definite benefit over a 3-blade. I get great out of the whole propulsion and little lift in the stern to help at WOT. the boat turns hard and has still caught some air in a hard turn, but nothing to complain about. Handles great.

Good: Very high quality product Hub kit is simple to install Great Value Bad Only that guidelines say for pitch change, 150 to 200 rpm per inch of pitch change, in addition to about 150 rpm drop when going from a 3 blade to a 4 blade This did not prove true for my situation. I have an 03 Rinker Captiva 192 (20 ft) with a Mercruiser 4.3L V6. I acquired the boat with a mercury 14.25 x 21 prop, with one person and full fuel I got 44mph at 4750 rpm (max suggested rpm is 5000). I am gearing down for towing skiers and boarders with people in the boat, Hole Shot is more important than top speed. I tried a Rubex 14.3 x 19 Four blade first, expecting to gain hole shot performance and increase full throttle RPM by 150 to 250 rpm. What I got was 43mph at 4650 rpm. Expected rpm to increase, but both speed and rpm dropped (boat loading almost the same, but I had just added a 200# wake tower, adding weight and a bit of wind drag). Expected RPM to increase, but it decreased and getting up on one ski with only 2 persons in the boat was difficult (lack of power on climb-out). Now I have this Rubex 14.5 x 17 Four blade, and what a difference! Hole-shot is dramatically quicker, nose comes down quickly, and getting up on one ski with 5 people in the boat is easy. Getting up on a wake board with 5 persons in the boat is instant! With only me in the boat and full fuel I get 41mph at 5200rpm (this speed is with GPS, the other speeds are with the old Petot tube speedometer, so I do not know how good this comparison is for speed) It is my hope to be able to ski and board with 7 people in the boat, and all indications are that this is the best prop for the job. I am extremely happy!

Purchased this prop for my Rinker 192 BR, mercuriser 4.3 6 cyl. Boat came with a 3 blade 14.25 x 21, producing 4750 rpm at about 44mph. I added a wake tower at same time as prop change, and tower is near 200#. Expected going to this 19 pitch, 4 blade would increase rpm by 150 to 200 (150 to 200 x2 for 2 inch pitch change, but one pitch change typically eaten up by adding 4th blade). What I have is now wot at 4650 rpm at about 43mph. Never expected rpm to go down. All listed numbers are driver only with full tank of gas, trimmed up. Plan is to get best hole shot for pulling ski/wake rider with 4people in boat. This prop change may have improved holes hot, but not dramatically, and boat barely gets me up on a slalom ski with 2 people in boat. I just ordered the same prop in a 17 pitch, confident that it would only over rev with one person and less fuel in tank. Hoping it will improve towing enough to satisfy my needs mentioned above. Will be crazy if I need to go to a 15 pitch! Nice quality prop, and hub assembled easily, will re use hub on new prop.

I have two other Solas Amita props, one an Amita3, the other an Amita4. I loved them both so when I needed a back up prop for a new boat I ordered my fourth. Sad to say that this one vibrates like a cheap Chinese sex toy. It sends a discernible shimmy throughout my whole boat. I ordered this as a backup propeller for a fishing trip to Canada thinking the Rubex is the way to go with all the rocks where we fish. However, I went back to using my very expensive stainless prop because I didn't want loose fillings after days on end of wot trips to our favorite fishing spots. I gave it two stars because of my love for the Rubex system and previous good luck with Solas.

I ordered a Solas Amitabh 21" 4 blade for my old Mercruiser setup that I have been restoring for a few years. It was my hope to get it on the water for Father's Day. All I had left was to put a prop on it, so I ordered one 2 weeks in advance. Well, things happen and something got lost in the shuffle. After a week I hadn't gotten any shipping confirmation so I called. Long story short, iBoats went above and beyond and made certain I had a propeller for Father's Day. Even overnight airing this Rubex propeller to me. Now to the propeller. What a dream! My 233 Mercruiser glides effortlessly along at 40+ mph and I've never had a smoother prop. I plan on getting a 19" to change out for pulling the family and a tube or skier. The stern lift is incredible. Mid range cruising is nearly effortless. So thankful for the iBoats crew and the great products they offer.

I purchased this Solas four blade Prop for my 23 foot fiberglass deck boat with a 5.7 Liter V8 I had been using a three blade prop Previously but with the four blade prop the time to plane was unbelievably quick and the throttle response was improved as well! I would recommend this product for price and performance!!!

I switched to this prop to increase my torque on my boat for towing and it greatly improved it for sure. Top end speed kinda scaled down but I don't normally go over 40 mph on my boat anyway.

The Solas Rubex 4 Blade seems fine. It might be a bit too much for my motor, because it dropped my RPM's by about 600 RPM's. Going from a 3 blade 14.25" 21 pitch Quicksilver. I will retest it after I tune up my motor.

Just got this prop to try out. I have a PolarKraft 1778 utility boat with an Evinrude Etec 40 on it. To start off I like a number of things about this prop from an engineering and manufacturing standpoint. The squeeze cast method produces a much thinner blade. Blade thickness is probably half that of other aluminium props using a more traditional die cast or investment cast method. The guardian hub is easy to install and change. Shifting is smooth and the prop runs completely vibration free and it does away with the nylon washer that gets chewed up with every prop change. As far as performance goes, in my application it performed every bit as good as the BRB Rouge 13.25x15 stainless 4 blade I have been running in the past. Possibly even a little bit better. Prop was tested with 2 people, 9 gallons of fuel, trolling motor and 2nd battery and various misc gear. Total boat weight as tested was 1500 lbs. Motor is on the 2nd hole putting the cavitation plate about 1/4 above the bottom of the boat. To start the BRP Rouge would turn 5300-5400 rpms and give a top speed of 28 mph holeshot is strong enough to pull a wakeboarder easily. 2 wakeboarders take a bit more effort and required the driver to cut a turn to get up on plane. The 13x15 Rubex 4 blade ran the same 28 mph but at a slightly higher 5600 rpms. Holeshot was just as good as the BRP Rouge. Possibly even stronger. During hard turns at full throttle the boat would bleed off some speed while not bogging down the engine. Handling is very predictable. The boat will stay on plane at 3700 rpms at 16 mph. Cruise is a nice and easy 4000 rpms at 20 mph. As expected I cant trim the engine quite as high without ventilation compared with the stainless. I haven't done any watersports with it but based on its performance so far I see no reason why it wont perform well. All in all you cant go wrong with this prop. It delivers stainless performance for a fraction of the cost. A+

I purchased the Solas Rubex 4 blade, 15 pitch prop to replace a 3 blade 17 pitch on my 1993 Cajun fish and ski. The difference out of the hole was great. Gets on plain quick and only lost 1 MPH on top end. Next prop will be the same, only in stainless steel.

I purchased this prop due to performance specs and to replace a damaged prop. I was a tad disappointed when I did not see the top end increase but was happy with gained control in docking and better push while cornering along with better planing at lower rpm's. Overall I would recommend this product to anyone buying a new or replacement prop as gains outweigh the loss.

03 stingray 190 with 4.3. I had a 14x23 3 blade and was not reaching WOT. I went to the Solas 14x21 4 blade and it really helped get out of the hole and reach a higher top end now that I can get to WOT RPM's. Also, I did notice better handling and I can really cut the turns. Very happy with this purchase!

Overall this Prop works well compared to my OEM 15" 3 blade prop that came with my 90hp Mercury optimax. Pros: MY boat gained a faster hole shot time and planes even faster (Triton 190 Lts). My steering response is 50% better around the marina and in tight spots. I gained about 4mph top speed over my old prop. The last positive thing is that the prop was very low cost and super affordable. Cons: The areas where they weld this prop together have huge burs and rough spots and can even cut your skin if you rub over it. Another issue is the finish, I will be honest is was like a little kid spray painted the thing with cheap black paint. I had to hand file the burs off and repainted it with VHT brake caliper paint. Over all it seems like the best blade for the money.

I'd been running a 14X17 3blade on my 115 Evenrude that maxed at about 5300 rpm, which will get me close to 40 indicated mph. However, it would not pull people out of the water to ski or board and took forever to plane. The Solas 13X15 4 blade solved some of this, but only reaches about 34 indicated mph. I was expecting some decrease, but not 6 indicated. Otherwise, I'm completely satisfied as prop allows the 115 Evenrude to reach about 5700 rpm and does a far superior job for my skiers/boarders. Unfortunately, there just is no guarantee on which prop will do what with your boat. So, you don't know until you try it and sadly there is no way to find out without buying an item you can't return.

The propeller they shipped to us has one blade that is longer than the others and is hitting my trim tab anode. I contacted iboats to have the propeller sent back to them and either get an exchanged item, or a refund. They told me it is the busy season and that it would take 3-4 weeks to get the issue resolved....like I want to be without my boat for 3-4 weeks during the prime boating season! Terrible customer service and exchange/refund policy!

I have an 18' Duck Water Ocean series (one heavy aluminum boat, 0.25" hull thickness, try to beat that you Lund Alaskian owners!) and have a 115hp Evinrude Etec (one amazing engine, second to none!) and was running 13.25" dia. x 17" pitch 3 blade with a WOT at 5500 rpm with a top speed of 41mph. This factory blade matched up pretty well with the boat and gave a pretty good hole shot, but being I run a heavy loads (3 - 4 hunters with all there gear, 1- 2 dogs, and 10-12 dozen on burlaped dekes) in big waters (Lake Ontario, NYS Finger Lakes, St. Lawrance river, etc.) in questionable weather and times of the year (December and January) I wanted to give this 4 blade prop a try. It's one amazing prop, great hole shots under load, 39-40 mph (only giving up 1 or 2 mph), and put my WOT rpms' at 6000 (the upper end of the engines spec range 5500 - 6000). Give these 4 blade props a try, you won't be disapointed!

Hey Everyone, If you are reading this review in order to decide on a new prop for your Bass Boat let me share my experience. Bought a used 1983 Hydra Sport Bass Boat with a 1977 Mercury 1150 Tower of Power from a soldier who being transferred. It came with a Quicksilver SS 23p prop and it just could't push it. I added a Cobra "The Edge" hydrofoil and it was like a new boat! Still I felt like it would perform better, top speed was about 35 mph and WOT was 5100 on a good day. Enter the Solas Rubex 19" 4 blade... W O W !!! Hole shot is IMMEDIATELY on plane... Top speed is approaching 50 mph...I backed off due to high chop. RPM's approaching 5500...again, too much chop. AMAZING smoothness with noticeably lower vibration on the water under all conditions... BETTER control at all speeds... For $125 ??? Seriously, Snatch one of these up!!! Luckymann77

I have not had a chance to try this porp yet. I am hoping it will make the boat go faster. I bought a 4 cycle Mercury OB from some guy that had it on a pontoon boat. So the prop was a 14-8. The Iboat calculator said I needed a 13.5-15 3 blade or a 13x15 4 blade. I went for the 4 blade. I have installed it as per the manuals instructions. Fit perfectly. Just waiting for a good weekend to try the boat out.

After cutting (with an angle grinder) a terribly seized 19 pitch 3 blade prop off the shaft, the Rubex 4 blade went on without problem. Went from 19p on the 3 blade to 15p on the 4 blade. Rpm went from max 4500 to 5250 and top speed went from 46 k/hr to 51 k/hr (on gps). Picks up out of the water MUCH quicker, 17' Glastron. But having to cut the old one off, I now need to by another for a spare. I'm thinking 3 blade 17p but have quite decided. I am pleased with this product.

I switched from a 3 blade 19 pitch to this 4 blade 17 pitch. I got it for wakeboarding and what a difference. It pulls harder and planes quicker. I would recommend getting Sierra Trim Tab Part # 18-6014 for an Alpha one outdrive. Also my top speed went from 48 MPH to 43 MPH but worth the tradeoff.

I bought this to replace a solas 3blade 21 pitch that was on my boat when i purchasdd from previous iwner. Hit a stick in lake and broke the tips. Installed this prop which was an easy change for me since i am far from a mechanic and it is like a total different boat now. Jumps out of the water and on plane very quick unlike before. I have been on the busy lake with it 3x's and it performs as expected. Staff at iboats helped with the selection and shipped fast.

I did a lot of research on props due to the fact that this is my first boat. I went from a 3 blade to the 4 blade Solas but stayed with a 19 inch pitch due to my research and talking with a cuple of Marinas apout pitch and boat owners with the same year and model of boat engine and weight and horsepower. I have a 185LS Bayliner w/a 130hp Merc. I went from plaining at 4000rpm to 3200rpm and can cruise the lake at 25-30 mph all day long on half a tank of gas. The Solas is a great prop no problems what so ever and would purchase one again more likely a 17pitch 4 blade just to check out the difference. I am maxing out at 4800rpm and have been told I should be maxing at 5800? I am happy with everything the prop the core the service of both iBoats their service. Everything was on time and I will be buying again soon. Thanks for a great site easy to find information and great products and great service.

Bought this for my 20' Suntracker Bass Buggy Pontoon, and it gets you up on plane very fast. It is mounted on a 70hp Mercury, and will get you up to 30mph and keep you there.

Have a 21' Chris Craft Ski-Jack with SBC. The prop pulls very well from a dead start and holds well through the turns with minimal loss of speed for tubing and skiing.

Super happy so far. Put this on my 18.5 Bayrider with 3.0 Merc. Stayed with the 21 pitch and speed is about 2MPH slower, but much better running/handling at slower speeds. RPMs run lower and you can feel the torque difference. May try a 19 pitch 4 blade if I have to buy another.

I recently replaced my 3-blade prop with this 4-blade Solas, and WHAT a difference! It's well worth your money, especially if you regularly carry a lot of weight and/or tow tubes or skiers.

Great Prop! Everything I needed was in the box and installation took only 5 min. I switched from a 3 blade 19 inch in order to increase my RPM at WOT. Worked like a charm and it also reduced my time to plane out. I am completely satisfied!

First time I ever bought a 4 blade prop. I must say I really like it. Its has more power getting out of the hole. Very happy with the prop and ibouts customer care was excellent!

This prop made a huge difference in getting the Marlin Empress on plane much faster and once there I can stay on plane with less throttle for cruising around the lake. Testing it pulling my out of the water as soon as the air temp rises a little more. I love the finish on it too.

Great product. I switched from a 3 blade 19 pitch to this 4 blade 17 pitch. It made a huge difference in performance. The boat planes much quicker and handles a full load of people or pulling tubes/skis with ease. The prop looks great also with a nice durable black finish

This prop works beautifully on my 20' pontoon. I have the Rubex 4 13" aluminum. I put this on a 1979 90hp Mercury. Great accleration and cruising performance. Top speed is 26 mph.

This prop meet and passed all of my expectations. Great hole shot, smooth ride, impressive top end, turns my 22ft cruiser on a dime, and the price, my local dealer was over it by $100!!! This is a great alum prop for anyone wanting performance at a great price.

Freaky fast delivery. I will get to test it out on Friday. Will update after the weekend on my new Rubex prop. It is going on a 1979 90 hp Mercury mounted on a 20' pontoon.

After much research I bought this prop for our 26' flat bottom aluminum laker with 90hp. Merc. outboard. It is the perfect match. Just shy of 60mph wide open and jumps up to plane at a far lower rpm than before. We cruise at a moderate speed and the fuel consumption is awesome. I have bought 2 of these props so far and they are perfect for me.

Ordered this propeller for one main purpose - pull tubes and ski's. My 19" 3 bladed prop just didn't have the holeshot I needed to be on plane fast enough. I have a 23'WA Renken with 4.3 Cobra and this prop does the trick. I did lose top end as the boat will only do about 30 knots now with the prop. Very pleased!

Bought a 186 SEI Larson with a 4.3 V6. It had a new 15x17 3 blade on it when I got it. Prior owner got it for wakeboarding and water sports, but it was waaaaaaay too small a prop. WOT rpm is spec'ed at 4600-4800. This thing wound to 5600 the one time I went upstairs with it. 35 mph tops in the right rpm range. Got the 4 blade 19 for wakeboarding, tubing, and heavy load boating. Even pulling a 250# guy out with 7 in the boat, it pops right up on plane. With a full load of 8 it runs right at 4600 and 45 mph. 2 Up it tickled 4900 and 51 mph or so. Just about the perfect prop for a full load and or watersports. The 3 blade would cavitate when really cranking a tube rider in a hard turn. This never blew out, even with the wheel cranked and full throttle. It would hold plane to the min speed the transducer would read, 15 mph. Never GPS'd it, but it would crawl along on plane nicely. Just a great watersports prop for this boat. If I ever damage it, I will be getting the same thing in a stainless to replace it.

I purchased this 4 blade aluminum prop for my 20' Four Winn's with a 302 Ford motor. I have installed a SEI Outdrive and needed a new prop. This Solas prop was a great buy for the money and works great. It planes quickly and runs faster than the original 19" prop that was on the Cobra Outdrive. I recommend this prop to anyone looking for maximum performance and value.

Great prop. Performs better than the OEM 3 blade. Better holeshot and will pull 3 skiers up like nothing. Stayed with the same pitch as my 3 blade(21). The boat planes faster and I gained 2 mph on the top end. 18' Crownline LPX 4.3 GL Volvo SX Outdrive

The customer service at iboats explained how prop pitch worked with engine RPMs. This made my decision easy. The prop worked better than expected and they were the lowest price I could find.

This is my 4th prop to be ordered from IBoats. I re-powered my boat from a 50 Yamaha to a 90 Tohatsu. Trying to find the right pitch for my boat has required me to order diferent props. I started with 16 hit a submerged stump ordered another 16( still breaking the motor in so I could not run W.O.T. for another 10 hrs. Knew after about 6 hrs that 16 was too small and ordered 17 3 blade and a 17 4 blade. The 4 hole shot is great but I am over rpms by approx 400 so I am ordering a 19pitch which should work perfect. I have purchased several props for my other boatas and some other stuff from Boats always with complete satisfaction.

I have been searching for a prop that would give me the right combination of top end speed and acceleration. The 4 blade Rubex prop did the trick. Rubex is a high quality aluminum prop. I've tried others and the paint peels of revealing a very rough surface. Rubex is Number 1 as far as I'm concerned!

I have a 115 E-Tec that I have been running with a BRP Rogue 4 Blade Stainless prop 13 1/4 X15. Didn't carry a spare because I was only fishing local waters and have unlimited towing insurance. I got the Solas as a spare. The Rogue turns at 5500 with a light load, which is right at the bottom end of my recommended WOT RPM range. The Solas turns close to 6000 at WOT. I am planing an extended fishing trip with a buddy. Will be putting the Solas on for the heavily loaded trip. Install was easy. Everything needed was included in the package, and fit right.Fit and finish of the prop itself is excellant.Very happy with the Solas. The only negative I have seen so far is the Solas seems to have much weaker reverse thrust than the BRP prop I am used to. I realy like a 4 blade prop for the slow speed manuvering and docking control they have. During what little reverse operations I have done so far I have to run up the revs on the Solas and it still seems to be "spinning its' wheels" in reverse.

I put this prop on a 1991 cobra 5.0 outdrive, it planes out much quicker than the factory 3 blade and shifts and feels much smoother then factory. I'd buy this prop again if I meet another rock.
